This module will give learners insight into the key functions of a SOC Analyst Training Course, such as identifying, analyzing, and reacting to security incidents in real time. You will learn how cyberattacks happen, what are the early signs that an attack is happening, and how to tell if an incident is a true incident or false alarm. Additionally, the course covers the full incident response lifecycle: preparation, detection, containment, eradication, recovery, and post-incident review. You will also develop practical skills in alert triage, severity classification, and response prioritization. To allow you to build these skills, the module will include many examples of how these types of incidents have occurred in the past, as well as simulated attacks so that you can practice your ability to respond. Upon completing this module, you will be able to react to the most common threats today like phishing, malware infections, brute-force attacks, and unauthorized access attempts in an established SOC environment.
