If you apply directly through TSA, you'll receive a Known Traveler Number (KTN). This Number is a unique identifier that allows you to expedite your travel experience at the airport. To get an American Airlines KTN, you must first apply for and be approved for one of the TSA's Trusted Traveler programs. This number can then be added to American Airlines flight reservations.
